Eschenfelder Malt and Oats Crusher
The crushing mechanism made from 100% stainless steel (Roller nickel free stainless steel) and moving parts mounted with high quality ball bearings. The crushing gap can be precision adjusted. The sides of the crusher constructed in a way that enables to inspect the crushing progress in detail. The wooden hopper (funnel) can hold a generous 6.14 Quarts (7 liters) approx. 8.8 lbs. (4 kg) of malt. When not in use, the hopper can used as a cover for the machine.
This is a piece of outstanding German machinery. All moving parts are stainless steel and mounted with quality ball bearings. The general build quality is very high, it is built to last.
The crushing gap is precision adjustable so you can fine-tune the size for perfect beer making. The minimum roller gap is factory set at 0.012 inches (0.3 mm) for transport. For the first use, turn the adjustment screw between 1/2 and 1/1 turn anti-clockwise (anti-clockwise increases gap, clockwise decreases gap). The optimum gap is when 90% of the grains crushed and you will need to fine-tune this for each grain as quality and consistency vary. Adjustment range is between 0.012 – 0.024 inches (0.3 mm – 6 mm).
The wooden hopper holds a generous 6.14 Quarts (7 liters), which is approximately the same as approx. 8.8 lbs. (4 kg) of malt.
This crusher can be motorized. It comes with a power drill fitting as well as the crank.
