With our hand mill MH 8 we have succeeded in developing a hand mill suitable for use by large families, communities and clubs, etc.
Almost as efficient as using an electrical grain mill, this mill can not only be used in places with poor or no power supply but also in times of crisis.

Our previous model the MG 4 proved itself for over more than 35 years for use not only on sea-going yachts or in mountain pasture huts but also in remote areas of Africa,

South America and many other parts of the world.
In order to meet the demand for a more powerful hand mill we followed the principle of our MH 4 mill:

This included a sturdy solid wood housing, a good clamping system as well as a suitably sized millstone.

We can offer the millstones in either natural granite or corundum-ceramic design.

It is important for us that - thanks to the sturdy and robust construction of the mill - problems and faults are as far as possible excluded. This is especially the case when the mill is being used under extreme conditions such in areas of Africa, etc. It is, of course, a prerequisite that the mill can be subjected to high loads.

In accordance with our experience up to now, we have found that women are well able to use the mill for processing their grain. Of course it has to be said, that a certain amount of strength is required to do so!

Here is the opinion of a lady-miller who uses the MH 8: It is a pleasure to process grain with the mill. Sure, it can be quite exhausting to do but on the other hand it is nice to see how the grain is turned into flour. Since I have been processing my own flour I have begun to appreciate bread more and more, especially since it tastes at least twice as good.

A really sensible hand mill. It´s a pleasure to work with; We as a Tyrolean farmer´s family with our own carpenter´s shop have now been able to finally fulfil our dream.
